Onions & aguaymanto chutney

aguyamanto or Inka berries are small orange berry of the tomato family growing inside a cage, its taste is sweet & sour. You can have them in the morning muesli or as a delicious snack, even mixed with seeds, hazelnut, raw cocoa beans to make an energetic bar or in savoury dishes such as this chutney.

1 to 10 berries a day!

STEP1 : INGREDIENTS

  • - 6 to 8 onions
  • - 2 handfull of aguaymanto berries
  • - 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • - 4 tbsp of water
  • - 1 tsp of sauce tamari sauce (gluten-free soy sauce)

STEP 2 : RECIPE

Stir the onions previously cut in coconut oil at medium heat.

When onions turn to gold (+/-10 min.), lower the temperature and pour the berries, soy sauce and the water.

Cover and leave to cook at least 5 to 8 minutes at low heat.
