PROPERTIES
This berry from the Andes, highly prized by the pre-Columbian peoples who integrated it into their cuisine, was abandoned after the “Spanish conquest”. At the end of the 20th century, the infatuation of nutritionists and some cooks for superfoods contributed to its revival.
Reintroduced to their land of origin, these small fruits, from the tomato family, come from organic plantations and then dried at low temperature. All the steps are carefully carried out in order to obtain this delicious "inca fruit".
USAGE
As a snack (about 15 a day) or mix with other ingredients (fresh fruits, granola, vegetables or in salad, cereals…).
They go as well with desserts and breakfasts as they do in savory dishes (chutney).
