Legendary cactus with fascinating flowers and the subtle scent of its fruits, the nopal is a plant that has certainly not yet revealed all its secrets. Rich in fibre, calcium and magnesium (strengthening bones). Its pectin thickens when mixed with certain liquids like water and its neutral taste is neutral make it easy to integrate into different recipes (drinks, vinaigrettes, creams, mash, yogurt, vegetables, legumes...).

Introduced in Europe in the 18th century, this superfood cactus quickly adapted throughout the south as well as in the Maghreb.
Thus, our nopal powder - obtained via a process using neither solvent nor chemical - comes from Tunisia.
Maintaining these resistant plants in an arid environment makes it possible to shelter and develop an entire ecosystem, thus ensuring the preservation of biodiversity.
PROPERTIES
Calcium contributes to normal muscle function and reduces the loss of bone mineral density in postmenopausal women (50 years and over).
Low bone mineral density is a risk factor for osteoporotic fractures.*
8 g of nopal, or 3 teaspoons, contains 432 mg of calcium.
Magnesium helps reduce fatigue and increase the normal functioning of the nervous system.
(*) All sources of intake combined, the daily consumption of calcium for women aged 50 and over is at least 1200 mg.
USAGE
Recommended dose: 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.
Its good content of mucilaginous fibers (minimum 30%) so called pectin gives to the preparations a velvety texture: smoothies, sauces, dressings or incorporated in a guacamole or a dip.
