This superfood has been known since ancient times: the Mochica civilization already consumed it 2500 years ago on the Peruvian coast.
USAGE
Purple corn is the main ingredient of a Peruvian traditional drink called « chicha morada ».
Refreshing drinks and desserts based on this superfood are still being prepared all over Peru today whose purple pigment is a powerful antioxidant.
Pour 5 tablespoons in ½ liter of water, let it simmer for 10 minutes and 10 more to infuse and filter. You can use this concentrated purple decoction to color and nourish your beverages (lemonade, apple juice, cocktails…), dishes (risottos, potato…) and deserts (fruit salads).
